BRIDGING PROJECTS

My work has nothing to do with any shade of politics. I come as a human being to support other human beings who are willing to help themselves.

In my eyes there is a tremendous amount of fear in the Middle East, in Palestine and Israel. The Palestinians are the Jews of the Arab Nations. Nobody really cares about the Palestinians or the Jews. My understanding is that we need to be together and support each other, it is the only choice we have. In order to do so we need to release the fear of the two societies.

In order to do so, until October 2000 my main mission was to bring Israelis and Palestinians together. We would visit refugee camps and listen to the people. I used to take Israelis to Gaza for weekends. My main desire was for the Israelis and the Palestinians to see each other as equal, as one, as what we really are.

Since the painful event of September 2000, the 2nd Intifada rebellion, I cannot formally visit my friends there. It is a big loss for me. See, after my personal loss I feel as a “mother” to all children on earth. There are many children in Gaza Strip, Jabalya, Bet-Lahiya, and many of the cities and refugee camps in the West Bank who call me Yamma (mammy) or Sitta (grandma).

At this time my main service with Palestinians is in providing humanitarian assistance, helping people, visiting the injured at Israeli hospitals, bringing clothes, food and medicine. I do whatever is possible to ease their situation.

We are the bridge!

We are the ones to bring peace, by “being peace”. Peace starts in individual hearts.

In “Being Peace”, we create the possibilities for bringing peace to life in individual hearts, and from there it will spread.

This is our Vision: We are bridges of Infinite Possibilities! Rather than be builders of bridges or designers and planners - we are the bridge itself! We are the possibilities! “Doing” can come only out of the “being”! We cannot do anything in a productive way unless we become that ourselves!

Peace is too consecrated to leave it to others to carry out on our behalf; we are all, each and everyone of us, becoming peace and becoming the peacemakers

How little politicians, or anyone else can do to solve conflicts!!. They cannot achieve anything unless people are ready for change themselves. No leader can dictate peace. Peace can only prevail when it grows from within people and spreads into leaders’ hearts.
